College Work Book

Off to CollegeJesse Carpozzi is a typical student about to graduate from high school.  He is anticipating his first year at college as are his parents.  The e-book begins in early summer as Jesse and his family contemplate his leaving home for the first time.

Jesse is worried about the following:  Will I get along with my roommate?  What am I really interested in?  What expectations do my parents have?

Jesse's Mom is worried about the following:  How often will I see my son?  What will I do with my time once he leaves home?  How can I still be a part of his life and yet accept his independence?

Jesse's Dad worries about:  How can I tell Jesse what I think is best for him?  Should I encourage him to do what I did?

Some sample tips from this e-book are:

Jesse talks….

I hated answering all the questions about my roommate because all my answers were assumptions not really based on fact.  Besides, the questions only brought back the anxiety I’ve been experiencing about the whole college thing. Some of the girls asked if I am scared about leaving home.  I hadn’t thought about it, but maybe I should be.......... Some tips included for this issue are:

  • Acknowledge what you actually feel.
  • Avoid those people who persist in asking negative questions about leaving home

  • Avoid people who make you feel negative about the move.

  • Try to say the final goodbye once.  It does get awkward to keep saying goodbye to the same people.

If you or any member of your family have some of these concerns, then this mymovingexperience scenario will meet your needs.  This book will demonstate that you are not alone in your feelings and will guide you through the precarious time of transition to college.
